About The Allium Collection

The Allium Collection started with Caitlin Trevor wanting to support her father and raise money for the Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA).

About Caitlin
Caitlin is a young adult with Down's Syndrome and enjoys lots of activities. She is an international para swimmer and has represented the United States of America in swimming. She also loves being creative - acting and performing, as well as art and photography.

Background to The Allium Collection
Caitlin’s father, Mark, was meant to be running in the 2020 London Marathon raising money for the DSA, but unfortunately, it was cancelled due to Covid. Caitlin wanted to support her father so, to help raise funds for the DSA, she used some of the photos that she and her art teacher had taken in Richmond Park and made them into greeting cards to sell.

And so The Allium Collection was born. Initially with the Richmond Park cards but since developing with other designs - all to give Caitlin an outlet for her creativity. Keep checking back for additions to the range.

The Future

As well as working on her studies and The Allium Collection, Caitlin is continuing to grow her creative knowledge - she was asked to judge a photography competition for the DSA, and is hoping to be involved in other creative projects either with them, and raising money for them, in the future.

Finding a new confidence

Working on The Allium Collection has given Caitlin a real drive and commitment. It’s enabled her to not only find an outlet for her creativity and raise money for charity, but also given way to develop new talents and learn entrepreneurial skills.

From packing the cards as part of a team and posting the deliveries through to developing a sales pitch and helping count the income, she is the CEO of her own business, “I’m the boss” as she likes to tell her team!
